CISM, CISSP, CSF+P

Peter Kemp has had a long and varied career working in and for the UK Government in a range of security roles over more than 25 years, giving him a breadth of knowledge of IT Security threats and the ways to detect and combat them.

Initially working at GCHQ for 17 years in a range of posts spanning the mission, Peter ended up his government service at the UK National Cyber Security Centre performing threat awareness briefings across government and industry at a range of classifications and carrying out Incident Response with the Defence sector for APT intrusions, coordinating with commercial Incident Response companies.

After a short period managing a defensive monitoring managed service Peter moved into Cyber Security training, primarily for UK NCSC and other Security and Intelligence customers, with a range of training from basic Digital Safety awareness courses for hundreds of delegates through to advanced Penetration Testing and Defensive Monitoring courses for the more technical staff. For the last few years Peter also encouraged the next generation of Cyber engineers through his work with the CyberFirst program that worked with students from 14-21 in a range of week-long courses and whole summer Academies.

With his extensive range of experience Peter is well placed to pass on this knowledge through more management-based training such as CISM and CISSP, working with the delegates to apply their own knowledge, experience, and judgment to their particular enterprises.
Peter has been based in Auckland New Zealand since November 2022.
