Ron Pinchen

Ron Pinchen is the ACT Branch Manager for ALC and has a leading reputation as both an ITIL consultant and trainer. Ron has over 23 year’s industry experience and has extensive experience in a broad range of IT implementation and management activities, including infrastructure management, service management, organisational change, service quality management, and business and IT alignment. This experience has been gained across government and university organisations.
Ron has particular expertise in IT Service Management, with qualifications and practical experience in IT Service Management implementation projects.
Ron has worked as an IT Manager, Service Desk Manager, Incident Process Owner, Incident Manager, Problem Manager as well as a support background Ron got his grounding in IT in Application development from 2005 to 2010 and was Senior ITSM Consultant with a well known ITSM consultancy. During this time he was actively involved in planning, building, running and evaluating ITSM courses across the entire Service Management range.
The wealth of practical operational experience and business knowledge that Ron has accrued proves invaluable for assisting students understand the theory of IT Service Management but also its application in the real operational environment.
Ron believes that any successful ITSM implementation is totally dependent on the degree to which Senior Management is prepared to ‘walk the walk’ and ‘talk the talk’. His wealth of practical operational experience and business knowledge, accrued over many years, has proved invaluable during all engagements as IT continues to strengthen its relationship with ‘the’ business.
Ron's expertise is in the practical application of IT Service Management concepts to deliver real business value. He has assisted several organisations achieve measurable results.
As well as being fully qualified to the highest level in IT Service Management, Ron also holds all the ITIL Clustered practitioner certifications, COBIT, ISO 20000 and Cert IV training and workplace assessment certificate.
